Hi Kia Forum People -

Just checking in here before I start posting to the Forums.

I drive a 2005 Kia Spectra5 in Black with 5-speed and Sunroof, I really dig it so far....! But I am definitely on a quest for more horsepower. And probably a better, larger set of wheels for it that sit further out, and flush with the body. (18's would look great on that car, I'm sure.) Maybe also lower the car an inch....and then it would be perfect I think.....but there's always something next, isn't there??? :)

I just moved to Orange County, California from Detroit, Michigan.

Glad to have found you guys!!!

Nice choice! I have the same car, color and all. I'm putting a cold air intake on it this weekend, and hopefully sometime this summer I'm going to do the lighter pulley too. Both should add about 3-5hp (some people say as high as 8, but I like to be conservative).

One thing to note - the VVT kicks in at around 3200RPM, so if you match your shift points to just above that your performance is much better on hard acceleration. If you can drop from about 5500RPM to 3200+, you'll never lose power to the valve timing.
