I inherited my 2013 Kia Rio in 7/2022. The rubber buttons on the keyfob were almost totally crumbled off and made it difficult if not impossible to press lock and unlock buttons. I bought a new fob on Ebay, but now need the attached blank key cut and fob programmed to work on my car. Do I find a locksmith to do this? I thought maybe there was a chip inside equivalent to phones but I've been told no. (Ihave 2 other Kia fobs from previous cars but neither was a Rio, that's why I bought new fob). I am clueless about fobs and how they work. I'm 79 year old granny. I've fixed several other problems on car, but this simple task is puzzle to me.
