Hi,

I have had some disappointing news today. We ordered our new car in March with an expected delivery date of the end of April. We have just been told that was a mistake; it would never be April and will actually be the middle of June.

What is the normal delivery waiting time for a new factory order.

What is the normal delivery waiting time for a new factory order.

How long is a piece of string.

Demand for the new Ceed is high at present thus waiting times will be long especially if you have added options to the build. We waited 8 weeks for ours back in 2010 with no options.

Other examples are 5 months wait for a Mini and 3 months for a Golf to be told it was going to be another 3 months. We were told 5 months for a Puma but got a brand spanking import in 2 weeks.

I was told three months for my new Cee'd back in November, but it actually got here in two, so I was happy. Maybe it'll arrive mid-May for you as well?

Between my wife and I we have done several factory orders over they years and would say 12-16 weeks was normal for European manufactured cars.
