Ever since I replaced my A/C condenser a month or so ago, my 06 2.4 Optima is running hot. The water temp gauge regularly sits just below the red line, and occasionally advances into the red zone. Sitting at idle for a couple of minutes always brings the temperature way down, but it goes back up again as I resume normal driving.

I believe I know what the problem is, but I don't know how to fix it. I lost quite a bit of coolant when I pulled the upper radiator hose...I have refilled the radiator, but there is probably an air pocket somewhere.

My baby needs a burp...How do I do it?

Most cars just need to run a few days and top up a few times. Turn the heater on so that part of the system is flushed. Check the level in the overflow tank as well as the radiator.

Check that fan is working.
