i have an '01 Kia Rio RS i believe it is... i am trying to figure out IF i have a block heater and/or where i would be looking on the block so i can install one? if anybody could help id greatly appreciate it please and thanks!
From what I've read, you should be looking for a cable + connector, possibly poking out from the front grille. Heaters are only 400W, so you would be looking for a fairly thin cable. Block heaters are smaller than you might think; about 120mm. Plenty of info on Google.
can i get a link to a site where such info is? ive searched and havent turned anything up that tells me the position on the block in which the block heater enters the block. looking from underneath the car i see a plug cap with a tang on it on the back of the block behind the starter is this where i install it?
Engine block heaters usually fit into a cylindrical recess in the block. If the engine doesn't have a heater fitted, there might be a cap over the recess. Apparently it's in the region of the radiator hoses.
