Check engine light cam one for P0106 code for map sensor
Felt like car wasn’t accelerating correctly and it would kinda jump/lunge forward at slow speeds
Changed it once.
kept driving car, didn’t seem to change much.
Check engine light came back on. P0106
Took it to personal mechanic who couldn’t figure out what was going wrong.
Car is revving engine in idle when air is on, doesn’t happen all the time but happens any time I’m driving my car for more than 30 minutes. It the RPMs pulsate up and down. Car also stalled out on the high way, and my exhaust blew white smoke when I was flooring it once.
Took it to Firestone they said it was map sensor again they changed it, and it didn’t fix the problem. Firestone told me to take it to Kia to figure out what’s wrong.
Took it to Kia they thought they didn’t reset the map sensor so they did that I got the car and 15 minutes later check engine light back on for map sensor.

Would appreciate any advice I can get. I don’t even know what to do at this point. I feel like no one is going to figure it out. They always say it doesn’t drive crazy for them. 😔 feel like no one is really taking the time to connect the dots or solve the problem.

I would be interested to know if the map was covered in oil. Aside from that I would data stream to check for vacuum at idel. Could be a damaged intake manifold, poor seal, or vacuum leak. Causing incorrect map readings. Just a few goto thoughts off the top of my head.
