so if anyone remembers my stereo wouldnt remember the eq settings and clock etc, 2 weeks ago i took it in, had to show them the problem since they didnt really grasp it, they ordered a stereo, it got there today, went and got it changed, got home, tested it, it does the same, they didnt even check it!

so october 11th is the next time i can get it done and get a loan car, so then they will hopefully look at the electronics, which is blatently the problem as it must have no power atall when the engine is off, gotta pay £10 to insure the loan car but thats cheaper then one taxi fare to work.

also to the dude who works at a kia engineer, how long does the disc brake skimming take? as mine as starting to squeal and i may get them to do that at the same time.

Disc skimming takes approx 45 minutes.

As to the stereo, is yours an early Picanto?
The first few through came with iso to kia harness with options for the power, if you wire it up red to red, yellow to yellow then the memory wouldn;t work, wire it the other way and it's perfect!
They've solved it now with a properly wired loom!
