My 1996 Kia sephia is leaking oil from the bottom wher there is a small circular metal that sort of moves abit. This might be common to all kias, has anyone had the same problem? It used to leak abit but now it seems to be leaking more often. Has anyone dealt with this particular issue? This is for a 1.8 engine with manual tranny. Any feedback will be appreciated.

Do you mean the drain plug? If so, I'd replace the drain plug gasket/washer.

Suggestion...
Take a picture of where the transmission is leaking and post here...
Cobra259 is a parts manager at a Michigan KIA dealership and if he has no clue on where you say it is leaking ....we probably won't either...

Pictures are worth or can save a thousand words, one other suggestion on the pics, take one far enough away that we get an idea of the "plug" and the area around it.... Then up-close of the "plug" itself....

Ok I will, just need to figure out how to load pictures through the site, never done it before. Would there be a seal like the input shaft seal, but smaller in diameter, that might be leaking inside the manual transmission too?

Would it be leaking from the reverse-switch plug?
My old Sephia leaked thru the sensor; not the seal.
