I bought my 2011 Cerato 1.6 - in March 2011 . I have now 40k K.m

the dealership in KSA tell me that i should to change the following besides change the engine oil:mad:

1- Spark plugs ( i already changed it b4 on 20K ).

2- Auto transmission oil .

3- Fuel Filter .

4- Air filter . ( i already changed it b4 on 20K ) .

5- Brake oil .

6- power steering oil .

7- Cooling water (radiator) .

but when i read the manufacturer manual i found a lot of differences and some of that things above no need to change it , and others it suppose to change it after 100 k .

So I need your advice strongly .

A lot of these don't need to be changed at 40,000km. On most models, auto only needs to be looked at under severe conditions. Plugs and air filter normally at 40,000; so why were they done at 20,000? Your book would be the best guide. Talk to the dealer and only get thr essentials done. Oil change/filter is as important as the items mentioned.

You need to check when the owners manual says to change those things, as some people confuse when the DEALER recommends changing things with when the MANUFACTURER says it needs doing. Ask the dealer why they recommend changing the coolant, if they answer "we just do it for peace of mind", then you know they are just doing the up sell unneccesarily.
