Note the topic should have been Ratio and not ration - I think the phrase I'm looking for is - Doh!

I have yet to use it, but how does the low ratio mode work on the Auto Diesel XS?

I turn the twiddly knob (pardon the expression) on the dashboard, then what?

Does a light show on the dash somewhere?
What speed should the twiddling of the knob occur?
How different will the drive be after the twiddling?

Any advice is appreciated.....

Low ratio will light a green light to the right of the instrument cluster.
Select neutral, twist knob, should feel a slight jolt, and light will come on.
You will notice you can rev high, but have very low speed, it's only designed for off road use really, not recommended for high traction surfaces, unless your towing a weight up a steep incline!

On disengaging, it can stick a bit, best way to aviod damage and horrible noises! in neutral, foot on brake, twist back to high, wait for the clonk, if you don't get, slip foot of brake gently, this will algin transfer teeth, and give you slight jolt, but won't do any damage.
