What are the fuel trims at idle and 2000rpm

 

I forgot my Autel in my Mustang so when I get back from my shop I'm gonna check and monitor both long and short trims

 

waiting with batted breath, not realy...!

 

Record the MAF/MAP value at idle as well..

Lean codes can come from the fuel pump filter in the gas tank getting clogged up. On highway trips and high gas demand, I was getting lean codes coming back from a long trip. There is an intake screen on the fuel pump but there is also a paper filter for the pump that filters the pumps output flow inside itself. Its paper and is embedded in the fuel pumps assembly and shaped like a curved hot dog bun. Mine was BLACK and full of junk after 17 years. Easiest thing to do is replace the whole pump assembly I also installed new fuel injectors, which was all pretty easy to do. Fixed my LEAN codes. Put in new plugs too but that was just extra for me.
