I don't think you can. I have a 2010 Picanto and every 'new' model I see on the road has it's lights on. I think it's just a design feature, although I'm really not a fan.

They are not fog lights, they are " day time running lights" They are a legal requirement on all cars built after february 2011, in Europe

they are requirements but if you really want to get rid of the DRL. You can pull out the fuse for the DRL in the fusebox.

In think you meant to say "on all New MODEL cars." Upgrades don't count. I have a brand new Ceed delivery miles showing 7 miles. Registered on a 12 plate, no running lights. Very confusing as some running lights are LED but others are apparently reflected from a single source light reflector somehow so you dont see any LEDs.
