Kia Issues to be aware of

Seems like a list that any car maker does/could have.
I'm happy to dissuade people from buying Hyundai/Kia but it's essentially a barely-researched CarComplaints list. It lists the Borrego as having transmission issues with 4 complaints and what, 20k sold in the US?

Dammit I gave it a click!

Correct - you'll find similar for any brand name you chose for your search.

People need to ask themselves. Why has Ford, GM, Chevy, Dodge, Chrysler stop making passenger cars other than sports cars..Answer is because their reliablily sucks.

When did they do this?
When did they do this?
It wasn't necessarily that reliability sucked, its more than they couldn't compete with the competition in the economy sedan/hatchback segment.

Ford's ditching of passenger cars in North America finished around 2020 to much controversy but with the Maverick taking up a popular role at the bottom of their lineup (and the much less compelling EcoSport) they seem to be doing fine. GM's hatchbacks and sedans generally have been discontinued the past couple years with the Malibu being, I believe, the last mainstream holdout until it's 2025 death. Of course, crossovers/tall hatchbacks are the popular replacements like the Trax.

Stellantis has the Charger, Challenger, 300 but those are generally in their own category.
When did they do this?
It started a few yrs back.. Chevy/GM make the Camaro, and Corvette. Dodge the Hellcat/Demon Ford Mustang.. Other than that they all make their minivans and trucks/suvs.
There is much more money to be had in EV's, pickup trucks, and luxury SUV's so they axed the sedans.
