Hi All

Can anyone help me to source some parts in the UK or help me find an overseas supplier for the following part numbers for My 1999 Kia Elan. She is sounding quite poorly

OK9A6-15-981A
OK9A6-15-983
OK9A6-15-986
OK9A6-15-987

The only part I can find in the UK is the last one on the list which is the belt :(

Hope someone can help I'm struggling even on the internet

Thanks

Steve

Sorry, I didn't notice this thread until now - feel free to drop me a PM to alert me to Elan related queries.

Yes, 0K9A6-15-987 is the correct part number.

If you tap the throttle while idling and you get a rattling sound, almost sounds like pre-ignition pinging, then it's most likely your auto tensioner.
I bought a new one, but fairly confident that I could have recovered the old one by soaking it in a degreasing solvent to get all oil off the friction disk.

Hi Ron

Thanks for your help

All sorted and back where she should be ON THE ROAD

The bearings in both the idler and auto tensioner were completely shot

Cheers

Steve
