Hi everyone! I have a Kia Ceed 2016 and bought a 2nd set of wheels for my winter tires, they came without TPMS sensors! Now Im looking to buy the sensors wondering if they need to be programmed with some kind of tool? I also read that the vehicle recognizes them automatically and there is no need for that? Can someone clarify this for me as there is mixed opinions about this, cant find a concrete answer! Thanks

A tire shop can program them for you once they are installed on the vehicle.
Since they are new to your vehicle, most likely they won't be recognized.

Done this a few times when replacing wheels and on a 2015 and 2018 Cee'd the new sensors are automatically recognised, no need to programme them. It may take a few miles of constant speed but the warning light will eventually go out when they have been recognised by the car.
