Hi. My “wing” or antenna cover on top of the car fell off most likely during a car wash a few months ago. Interestingly a week ago we had terrible drenching rainstorm. The next day I couldn’t use my remote key 2016 Optima to unlock the car. I changed the remote battery. Still can’t unlock the doors. The remote key lights up red for a hot second. I really cant believe im locked out my car. Could this now be an electrical issue bc the antenna isn’t covered and rusty? Called roadside assistance and bc Im over mileage it cost me $80 for a guy to “pop my lock”. I have no choice for a kia roadside service person to hopefully get inside my car to unlock it.
