Hi, should a current Pica`s JVC unit come out with the help of the 2 tools JVC call handles?
I was not supplied with any-are they essential for removal?

Thanks.. ozza.

I haven't taken mine out, but I glanced at someone in the dealers workshop swapping one and he took the flip down front off, then the surround on the stereo, then the surround part of the dash (with the buttons and stuff on), took out a couple of screws and the headunit came out in a cage, which it was screwed into from the sides.

Keys are the easiest way, ask your dealer should have stacks of them lying around.
Earier units were screwed in, this means using the method above.

Dealer was not too keen on handing over the `keys` but offered to remove it for me!

Thanks.. ozza.

Surround just pulls out of dash.
Only clipped in, found best way without damaging was to push both hands in cubby hole below stereo, push down to grip and tug it out.
Stereo will come with it if its later model.
