Thanks for the post! Like a lot of new to Kia owners, I was a bit worried if I'd made the right choice in purchasing one. I'd done all the reading and know that Kia has come a long way, and is still working hard to re-invent themselves as a quality company, but there was still some reservation on my part due to their history. I absolutley LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Kia Sportge SX, and after 10 months and over 18K miles have not had any complaints or worries, but it's still nice to see some validation in the press that I made the right decision.

It agrees with what I've seen from ConsumerReports -- Hyundai, Kia are way up, Chrysler is still last. They suggest other manufacturers (Honda, Toyota, VW, GM, etc) lowered slightly likely due to using cheaper components post-recession.

Top Gear (magazine) doesn't seem to be doing their Owner's Motoring Survey anymore. Shame, since it gauged perception and reliability from a big sample size.
