I dont mind the stock stereo, I notice that on satellite radio stations they just dont have the volume output that terrestrial radio and mp3 etc puts out. I would however like a little more boom, not like gangster style but just a little something. The thing is I dont want to start prying my dash apart and pulling out the nav system etc. Is there a way to wire up a sub without messing with the headunit itself? Like splicing into a wire somewhere on one of the speakers? And has anyone done this with success? Sometimes things end up not turning out the way you thought they would, so I want to make sure if I do go this route I get a good combo together.

OK, heres what I would do: buy a high to low line level converter, tie that into 1 of your rear speaker wires near the speakers. Install an amp & wire that up & install a subwoofer & tie that in from your amp.
