When I rebuilt my wife's 2014 KIA Optima that was "salvage" the plastic intake manifold on the 2.4L was smashed and I got a look at the insides... It has a vacuum actuator on the outside that does redirect the airflow through different channels by turning/moving a long cylindrical device... Because your car is a 2015 it probably has a similar air intake... It is there to change how the air is directed to the intake valves to IMPROVE performance and fuel usage... I would think that playing with it will actually make things worse... Think about why the differences in a standard and a tall intake manifold (race car)... they both have their reasons in designs... The intake manifold on your car CAN TUNE itself depending on speed and engine load... Can you really do better than what the engineers came up with?
