Although my KIA Spectra was less than a year when I did this experiment i.e attaching a metre long 6 gauge cable from the negative terminal of the battery to the top engine, this connection immediate changed my headlights from yellowish-white to extremely whitish colour. Why? Are the original grounding connection so poor?

yes! CLICK HERE GROUND WIRE KIT and it helps out so much!
