hello all...

I have a 2003 Sorrento EX and love it. Just recently (within the last few days) I've noticed an intermittent rumbling noise that seems to come from under the floorboard more towards the passenger's side. It almost sounds as if something that's normally turning is occassionally making a kind of thump, thump, thump, etc sound for about 5 to 10 seconds and then stops. I had thought it only did it while I was running the heater...almost like the fan might have been hitting against something. But noticed the sound again today without the heater running. Could it be the fan? The thermostat activating? or something other? Any ideas???

thanks,

Try turning the mode or blend knobs for the heater control. Maybe one of them is stuck. The fan doesn't have to be on for these to work either.
