Interesting video of the Sportage production line in Slovakia

KIA plant in Slovakia! Whats fascinating is that there are previous gen Sportages spotted here and there... and the video is only 5 months old. Obviously they could have filmed it a year ago or so.. Thanks for sharing!

I understand they don't get the long version we get in the United States, but the video was still informative. The fit and finish of the Sportage is better than my current 2022 Honda.

Russians are reporting Slovakian made Kias are .... not so great. They may be sabotaging Kia just like USA Alabama plant does to favor local/national brands.

I'd like to see a video from Korea on building the PHEV. The battery installation, etc.

There is also footage from the US or maybe Korea..... The inner doors are different from the European versions....

I'd say the opposite: they use Kias en masse as uber/taxi cars (as well as Hyunday's) and have nothing but praise for how well the cars are built to handle whats probably the harshest climate / environmental conditions, not to mention the horrible roads, and all of thsese KIAs came from Slovakia.. That plant has one of the highest ratings by way of QC as it is competing with lots of Germans that have plants around the corner there and it is also leveraging some very educated and skilled workforce. So, no -- the Slovakian plant is churning up top-notch KIAs, with options that are not even available in NA.
