What does the engine cover really do besides trap heat? At least on our Mercedes it's part of a functional cold air intake. I haven't had the fuel rail covers on my GTO since just after I bought it and I've thought about taking that thing off of the Rio.

I guess I'm not a car enthusiast because I don't give too much on engine covers. After all, the hood is usually closed while I'm driving.

At least the engine cover cleans up the busy engine bay. Im glad they add them now a days.

I did the same thing with mine. Painted it purple
