Hello,

I have a 2005 kia sportage lx with a 2.7L V6 engine and i would like to know is there a difference between the "Idle Control Actuator" and the "Idle Air Control Valve or "IAC", Are they the same or 2 separate parts? Thanks for your time:)

Same part. It is an electronically controlled solenoid that is bolted to the throttle body. Kiatechinfo.com actually call it an idle speed cotrol actuator (ISCA).

Same part, sometimes referred to as Idle Speed Control valve (ISC) and sometimes as Idle Air Control valve (IAC).

and the 2.7l is a different part from the 2.0L from experience, so if your replacing it makes sure it is the one for the correct engine you have.
