Yesterday I purchased a 2016 Kia Sorento LX. I have a dash cam that I harvested off my previous vehicle that I'd like to install. On my previous car, I popped off the driver's side pillar trim piece and ran the wires behind there down into the fuse box. Can anyone tell me how to remove the front pillar trim? Thanks!

As I said in my earlier post...I would highly recommend these tools, they're cheap and they don't leave marks! Don't try to pull the pillar covers all the way out. There's a couple tethers in there meant to keep the pillar cover from hitting you in the face in case of air bag deployment.

Unfortunately, I think I'm going to need some more assistance here. I just tried for about 15 minutes to pop and pry the pillar trim off, but to no avail. I was able to pop the top two thirds of the trim off, but the bottom simply wouldn't pop. I tried about as hard as I felt comfortable trying at all angles without potentially snapping something. The other strange thing is that even the top part that popped off, it was still attached and wouldn't completely separate. I assume that is the triangle component in the diagram.
