Hello,

I have 2011 Kia Sorento LX AWD 2.4 engine.

Have some issues with transmission making a loud thud (jerking) when put into Drive.

Otherwise drives normally, shifts up and down fine.

Kia service in Zagreb, Croatia (great peeps) found that issue is due to the inhibitor switch. (I guess when it does not work properly, vehicle is not always 100% sure in what gear it is put)

I got the part from US (was in heavy backorder in EU).

Now I need to install it.

I am currently in remote area, no Kia experienced services near by.

Does anyone have some instructions on how to install this part.

Seems it has 2 holes for screws and electric connector to be connected to
ECM system.

There is a hole in the middle that I think plays the main role. I assume tranmission cable goes through it and position of the cable in the hole is being read and info sent to transmission computer.

If anyone has true instructions how to install inhibibitor switch, let me know

Thank you in advance.

Thank you nstoolman1,

I found it via your link. Seems pretty easy, straight forward.
