Hi All

I was a bit lazy and didn't submit for my card until March or April this year. I had taken it to the dealer and they submitted the info for me. This was at 48,000km. When I got the card, I was rather shocked to see the card was for just over $80. When I ran the reimbursement estimator in November (at 31,000km), it told me I would be getting $181.

So I'm kind of surprised that at 48,000, I only got $80. I've contacted Kia and they are telling me that $80 is what I should be getting.

I'm wondering what other people got, and how much mileage they had, particularly in the Toronto area.

Thanks

Brian

I've read that thread, and the first 7 pages are about estimates, the last two pages get _some_ info on what people actually received. Some people posted what they received, but not their mileage, which is useless for me.

No one from the GTA posted what they received, and I'm pretty sure there are some here.

But thanks though...

I've got about $87 for just over 10,000 miles (16,000 km). I know that the reimbursement depends on the area you live in particular the gas price. The rules might be different for Kia Canada though.

That does seem low, considering Toronto has the highest gas. We got just under $60 a while back with less than 2000km on the car. I am at 11,000km now, and the price of gas is about the same per liter, a bit more even... by my judgment I should get around $300 for 10,000 km.

brianl, I'm so jealous you actually got it. I bought my Rio in Feb this year and when I contacted Kia about poor gas mileage they told me my car doesn't qualify. Thanks Kia! Even after they adjusted their stickers on their cars, the MPG is still overstated/overrated.

I'm not sure if you were posting here because you are expecting a reimbursement, but you won't be getting one. Cars purchased after the adjustment to EPA estimates are not included in the reimbursement program. You probably knew that tho.

Ok Guys & Gals just submitted my 2nd fuel rebate. Dealer was clear in tell me that you MUST submit Every year. 1st rebate after 7634 KMs from Delivery Date of May 1st 2012 to Nov 12 2012 = $54.12. 2nd rebate calculated today October 7 2013 @ 16991 km =$66.40. I am quite satisfied with the car for Drivability, Fuel Economy & Comfort. Only exception is Low Passenger's seat  & a little too much road noise (but it is an Econobox & they all seem to be that Way). Looking forward to many more years of ownership as long as I keep enjoying it. I have a low tolerance for issues or problems. After spending 31 years in the Motor Trade ( 16 selling very overated Mercedes-Benz) I am pretty hard to please but this Kia after 18 months has not disappointed me yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed:)
