1. Did it come OEM or did you purchase it aftermarket?

Seeing as the 2022 Sorento's were not shipping with a home link mirror that is strange. Not sure what OEM Kia plug the OP is talking about. There is no OEM plug unless the original mirror was auto-dimming.

Exactly.
To my knowledge, the top trims of the 2022 Sorento came only with the auto-dimming mirror. Nowhere can you find a Homelink WITH COMPASS for the '22 Sorento. Hence my questions to the OP.

I am very leery of the mirror in his pics until he explains where he got it. It is possible it is the Homelink mirror from Telluride which DOES have a compass.

Actually it came from an Optima. Oem plug meaning it has the female port to accept the plug from Sorentos with the oem auto dimming mirror. Also as you can see in the picture, the female port is built into the mount like the auto dimming mirror that the Sorentos come with (instead of the port being on the back of the mirror).

1. What year Optima did it come off of?
2. Did it see use?
3. What is the width measurement?
4. Do you know for a fact that it will mount perfectly in the '22 Sorento? (I understand what you are saying in-so-far the connector - I am concerned about the mounting bracket?)

I'm not sure exactly what year it came off of. Yes, I had it mounted in my Sorento and used it for a bit before going in another direction. The width is 10.5". Let me know if you have any other questions.

I've re-thought the purchase and decided to pass. It's a good deal and a fair price, but as I already have a Homelink, spending any money to simply gain a compass is not sensible. However, someone else will come along and most all the questions have been answered.
