I only have 1700 miles as of this post. But before buying my Forte, I spoke with a friend who had owned many Kia and Hyundai vehicles in his family over the years, going way back to the Ford Festiva and Hyundai Pony. He told me that all of them went over 200,000 miles with very few problems, and no serious issues. Just routine maintenance. The older vehicles were usually taken out of service due to rust, which happens to every vehicle.

I am owner number three of an automatic 2007 Kia Spectra EX. it was my moms car which i have since purchased after killing my Dodge Dakota. i have known this lovely little guy since it's first 2,000 miles. as of this posting it is sitting at 216,100 miles. and i just did the timing belt for the second time. First timing belt at 100,000 miles. My mother followed the owner's manual almost to a Tee and the car has treated my family wonderfully for over over 10 years because of it. moral is. love your Kia, and it will love you.

I own a 2004.5 Spectra EX A/T since 50,000mi currently @ 210,000mi. I've never had to repair or replace anything besides brakes, tires & occasional tune-up. It received its first timing belt and water pump service @ 195,000. Always run Mobil 1 Full Syn & M1 filters. This is my wife's daily driver.

My Daily driver for a year now is a 2007 Spectra LX M/T purchased with 70,000 and currently at 110,000mi with only a tune-up. I have the Timing belt kit waiting to be installed. I drive 3hrs for my daily commute & these Hyundai/Kia 2.0l betas have never left me stranded & continue to exceed the "rated" fuel mileage.

I also own a 2006 Sportage 2.7l since new with currently 114,000mi, the harmonic balancer failed at 80,000 and had timing belt service at 100,000. No other issues

I have a 2015 Optima Hybrid with 238K miles with only one issue. One of the relays went bad in the hybrid system. Other than that, it runs like new. Didn't have to replace original brake pads till I got 175K. Still drive it 300 miles daily. I have done all maintenance in owners manual (almost twice)

I'm still driving a 2004 Rio. The engine is from the original 2002 Rio I bought, currently at about 400,000 Kms and still runs like a top.

Aside from regular maintenance, had to replace the starter and alternator in the last 6 months. This car owes me nothing. Think i'm keeping it running out of sheer morbid curiosity to see how long it lasts :)

We have two Sedonas that we use for courier work. A 2011 and a 2012. They have 340,000 and 390,000 miles respectively. Thankfully very few issues. A couple of front wheel bearings each, an oil pressure sensor, and an AC compressor. I do most of the basic maintenance myself and change the oil every 10,000 miles with Mobil1 synthetic. Both still run strong. They have been the most reliable vehicles we have ever owned. I hope I don't jinx myself for making this post lol.

I have a 2009 Kia Optima with 335,000 miles on it. I drive over 1000 highway miles a week to work and back.

Just bought a 2018 Kia Sorento to use. The '09 is now an "around the town" car. Still runs great. My husband had to put an ignition switch in it today but that's all he's had to do.

Synthetic oil is the key!!! Hoping to get 500,000 miles out of it (or more)!

I've got 140,000 KM on a 2016 Rio SX. 120,000 of those are from driving Uber. Car has been bulletproof to date. I just replaced one front wheel bearing, and really that's all, besides regular maintenance and the standard wear and tear items.
