Hi. I am new here and I have a question about my fuel filter on my 2004 Kia Spectra.

I just want the fuel filter replaced, not the pump. Is that possible? The dealer is telling me that I need to have the filter and pump replaced because of configuration matters. Is that true?

I'm just trying to do a little preventative maintenance. Can someone answer this?

Thanks.

I have never heard tell of that. I have a 2002 Kia Spectra Sedan and have replaced the fuel filter twice, it is located under the car, along the passenger side rear I believe. Has quick connect connecters and was easy to change. I have heard on some models that it is located under the back seat though, so you if cant find it, check under the back seat.
