I've owned my 2003 Kia Spectra since it was new. I drove it off the lot with 31 miles on it. Towed it back to the lot before it had 70 miles on it with a bad automatic transmission.

Now, it is slipping again... Nice huh? It has always had the worst gas mileage I have everr seen. It is the weakest engine I have ever had but what can I expect? I can beat this car from take-off in my running shoes... lol

Now, my check engine light is on and I looked around the net to find error codes. What I found though is that you have to use a scanner on this? No terminal jumping?

Check the connection of your upper Oxygen Sensor, if they get dirty, it will set the light off and the code will likely read Slow response from O2 Sensor. I have become accustomed to cleaning the connectors at every tuneup.
