Hello everybody,
I have a 2004 Sedona 3.5l that has a engine light on with code P0340 camshaft postion sensor. It idles a little rough and once it cranked a long time before it finally started. My question is where is the camshaft sensor located and has anybody else had this problem? Thanks

The camshaft sensor is located under the timing belt cover on the left bank (cylinder head closest to the radiator. The cam and crank sensors seem to have issues with age and heat and will leave owners stranded sometimes. Depending on your current mileage, you may want to replace the timing belt, water pump and crank sensor as well.

They're not bad if you have the right tools. It is possible to remove the timing cover and sneak the sensor out + reinstall. However, as Pacosworld mentioned, it may not be a bad idea to replace the timing belt and crank sensor as well. The cam sensor is much easier to replace when the timing belt is removed anyway.
