I just left the Kia Dealer after having them replace a Stop Lamp Switch (KIA recall). Of course during the KIA-paid-for recall they always find some other things for me to pay them for, so instead of agreeing to over $300 of additional service I thought I'd do a little research 1st:

They wanted to do a Transmission Service Flush ($250), a Microfilter replacement (I do that myself), and a PCV valve replacement ($61.33). I can get the PCV valve online for about $15 so I'd like to see how difficult it is replacing it myself. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi,

Very easy, Not sure what vehicle you have, but the V6, the PCV is located on the front bank top right. It screws into the rocker cover (although we don't have rockers). Pull the black rubber hose off from the PCV, then ue a spanner and undo. It may be tight. My vehicle had what looked like locktite on it.

The I4, not sure where it is, but would have to be close by.
