Hi there,

I am the proud new owner of a 1998 Sephia. This car has 55K and looks pretty new. I got the car for free due to a no start situation.

I'm noticing from many of the posts that the ignition coils/wires fail pretty frequently. I'll try that first.

I'm also getting a poor cranking situation. I'm hopeful it's from the bad coils/wires. How are these coils tested? How does one pull engine codes?

Also, the schrader valve on the fuel rail is leaky.

Anyway, great to find this site. I'm a mechanic and I'll be as helpful as I can be. It's my mission to make this a reliable commuter and make all my friends stop laughing at me.
