My '00 Kia Sephia is really hard to start. I have to pump the heck out of it before it will start. Once it is started it runs fine (unless I am below a 1/4 of a tank). Does this sound like the fuel pump? Also, if I don't pump it and leave the key turned forward for about 5 minutes it will start right up as well.

Sounds like a fuel pump problem. DO a pressure test, also check for fule leaks. Any CEL? Check the ECU for codes anyway.

Agreed; I had a PM that wasn't clear at all, disregard the response there. This is an obvious fuel problem, either filter/lines or pump or junk at the bottom of the fule tank. DOes the incline that you park the car change this? Sometimes it is just low fuel and incline that causes this and that is just from the design.
