Greetings everyone in the Kia community!

I heard about this form on cartalk.com, where as a relatively new do-it-yourselfer I am a regular when it comes to soliciting expert car advice.

Last month I bought a '97 Sephia. I still need to somehow figure out whether it is the RS, GS, or LS. I bought the car as a commuting vehicle in the interest in saving on gas.

I was actually kind of dreading starting to use it, as I have not driven a 4-cylinder car for some 25 years.

I was pleasantly suprised by this Kia. It has a lot more power and acceleration than I would expect from a 4 cylinder. I asked my mechanic about that, and he said it was because of the "Dual Overhead Cam". I don't really know how having two camshafts instead of one can deliver so much more power but hey who is complaining? :)

Even though this little car really goes, it is great on gas. It gets a good 35 to 37mpg on the highway, a bit less when I am running the a/c or carrying loads.

I have some technical questions about the car which I'll post in the appropriate forum.

Its good to be here! I am glad to have found out about this site.
