Just got my 2021 Sorento S trim. The car I traded in had gas springs holding up the hood. This car has what I call the kick stand type. What do you know that the wind took it and it came down on my head the other day while I was showing my clean engine compartment off. Great advertizing for KIA right? I looked at a bunch of pictures and all the 21 Sorentos' have gas springs under the hood. Anybody know of a retrofit to gas springs. I noticed the mounting ears on the hood hinges just like in the pictures. I wonder if the holes are under the plastic trim.
