Can anyone tell me if they have changed a fuel tank filter on a 2006 Rio 5. I have just read about this today.

It is the filter at the bottom of the fuel pump, usually gets replaced with the pump itself.

Not worth the trouble IMO, just don't put dirt in the gas tank and you're good!

Got to pull the tank. Not a fun job. Not fun at all.

I have an 06 KIA Rio that I have had the fuel pump replaced in 3 times since Aug 18. They work for a few days then quit. The last time I replaced the whole fuel pump assembly. What could be causing this? I wouldn't think all three pumps could be bad.

There is a access panel under the rear seat. No need to drop the tank.
