I have 2 questions:

1.
I have a 2001 Kia Spectra with 66,000 miles on it, and Kia recommends replacing the fuel filter.
Where is the fuel filter located? Any tips on replacing it?

2.
Kia also recommends replacing the timing belt. This sounds expensive and difficult.
Are there any signs to look for to determine if the engine really needs this work done?

Thanks for your help.

As for the fuel filter, if its a sedan like mine, its located under the rear passenger side of the car on the frame rail. As for the timing belt, it took me about 4 hours, and was not that complicated, but I would not recommend ignoring it, or you will be sorry.
