So my 07 Sedona is leaking abnormal amounts of clear water on the ground. It's coming from a drain that goes through the firewall into the footwell on the right side.

Has anyone verified that this drain is in fact from the heater core?

I ran water through the sunroof drains and they all appear to be different drains.

On the KIA tech info I can't find any indications of the drain when researching it there. I ran a search here also but came up dry.

Thanks!

There is NO drain for any heater cores. The is a evap drain tube, to drain water that builds up in the A/C system. Where do you live?? Are you sure it's water, not coolant?

Ok, so the evaporator drain then.

I live in NW Arkansas. The wife promises that the AC has been off the whole time. When i checked it was off.

It's definitely clear water. Its not from the sunroof, and i cant think of any other drains it could be.

When your defrost is on, your a/c is also on. It's condensation from your a/c system, I wouldn't worry about it at all.
