I bought a 2001 KIA Sephia LS in September of 2004. Last year I owned a 2000 same make/model with the same problem (not anymore it got totaled 9/04). I was just wondering if anyone else has the problem of the front doors being frozen opened when it is very cold. I thought by having a remote started installed this would help, it would if I ran the vents, but I usually use the remote to defrost the windshield. Have any of you experienced this problem, and were you able to prevent this from happening?

Yes, i experienced the same problem here in Canada this past winter, would freeze up, couldn't unlock on really cold days...so would have to leave unlocked at night to be able to access on cold mornings. Tried everything, finally used silicone spray on the locks, helped keep the moisture out.
