I was looking to see if anyone has installed a hitch receiver on the front of their Borrego? I have the 2009 v6, and I pull a camper behind. The camper does not have a strong enough bumper on the back of it for me to put a bike rack back there, so I was looking at putting one on the front of the Kia. I have seen others at the campgrounds doing this with their trucks. I have checked with some other websites (etrailer) with no luck. Has anyone done, or seen this done with the Borrego? Thanks for any help or input.

I would first find out if this is allowed by the law.
I know, and I find it stupid - I came from Poland, DOT is different from state to state. Therefore, what FL might be OK with, AZ might not.

I find it not quite safe to put anything in the front of the car. That not only extends it, but also creates less safe environment for a pedestrian in any collision.

Hence, how about putting the bikes on the front of the trailer, add a basket/holder sitting on the tow bar?

It's not unusual to see people with campers on the back having bikes on the front here in Florida. I did try to make it work with the bikes between the car and the camper, but there is just not enough space to make any turns that way. Thanks though.

Funny someone should post this question, I was just wondering the same thing. Really don't want to have to drill into the roof of our pop-up to mount a bike rack that would require removing the front wheels anyway, and I'm concerned about using a dual hitch due to how it might affect backing up and tongue weight, etc.
