Hi

I hope it is okay if I post a lease question. Pls let me know if not.

Am considering leasing a Forte LXS. The dealer has a 2019 in black or a 2020 in white. This would be my first lease and I'm doing my best to understand the terms but still uncertain how to evaluate whether this is a good deal. If any one has any advice it is much appreciated. I have not countered either of the below quotes because I want to understand them first.

Both are 24 month leases w/ 12,000/yr for miles. I am in Southern California (North of LA).

2019 - Sell price = $19,215 - fees ($329) + acquisition of $650 for a gross cap of $20,194. A rebate of $3,520 would be applied and I'm expected to put down $2895 for a net cap of $13,779.. Residual value is $11,704 and monthly payment would be $146. There is a rebate of $799 against first payment, documentary fee/tax so drive away is $2,895.

2020 - Sell price = $19,358 + fees of $331/acquisition of $650 for a gross cap of $20,519. A rebate of $2,367 is applied and I'm expected to put $2,938 down for a net cap of $15,214.. Residual is $12,150 and monthly payment would be $196 (dealer said he could knock this down $15). There is a rebate of $752 against first payment/documentary fee/tax so drive away is $2,938.

thank you!

I guess I can't say if it's a good or bad deal, but 30 days ago I leased a 19 EX Launch Edition for one months payment down and $201 and change per month. Standard 36 months etc. I thought I made a pretty good deal.
