So if you remove the lower motor mount and the starter and you can access the fly wheel and stop its rotation with this tool. Will let you safely remove the crank pulley and also install the pulley to the correct torque spec. 210 ft. Lb. I hated to spend the 60 bucks but I’m doing everything else myself so I figured why not.

That's a simple tool, and I suspect something could be fabricated fairly easily. Basically all that's needed is to cut a few matching teeth into some scrap steel, and then attach some sleeves/ports to it for the bolts, either by welding or bolting it together. But if laying out the $60 is your preference, then no big deal about buying the tool.

Ya. I don’t have the tools/skills to do that and feel good about it. Mostly just wanted to see this if they do a google search for what I’m going through.
