Hi guys,

I want to add an aux jack (phono plug) to my 2000 Kia Sportage's factory CD player. There's a fat 8 pin connector dongle on the back.

Looks like this, except it's wrapped in black foam:

Does anyone know what this is for (or possibly the pin-out :trophy:).

PS: I know aftermarket head unit's are inexpensive but I'm a student and I don't even want to spend $30 on one. This would be cheaper and take me maybe an hour and some solder. That's $30 an hour, way more than my work pays :D

This connector is actually for a 8 disk cd changer this same radio was used in the kia optima which had the changer as an option I'll try to find the pin out again cause I know I have it but I added the oem cd changer for 25 bucks a new one i found on ebay and have a rf module box that I got for 10 bucks that I hard wired behind the dash and ran the cable through the ash tray and I definitely like this option better.
