Hi guys,
thought I might open up what might turn out to be a useful and informative forum for anyone wanting any specific travel preparation information within Europe.
I hope you are all aware that to travel 'sur la continent' we have to prepare ourselves and our vehicles for the journey.
For instance, in France you have to carry, by law, a warning triangle and set of spare bulbs.
In addition, for the UK driver, you need to blank-off part of the headlight lens so the beam does not dazzle oncoming traffic (UK headlights throw more light to the kerb side and away from oncoming drivers. Obviously when you are on the other side of the road your normal beam will be pointing straight at the driver coming towards you)
Does anyone have a picture or details of which part of the lens to blank off? I would be particularly interested in a '99 model.
