We have a 2010 Kia Rio JB 1.4l. Last week it started to die whilst driving a few times. No fault codes and no engine fault light. The dying whilst driving has gotten worse to where no the car if it starts only runs for a very short time. From research the symptoms are an indication of a faulty crank angle sensor and faulty cam angle sensor. Both of these have been changed with the fault remaining. Of note is the car will crank and not start, there is no spark and the fuel pump only runs for a quarter second in every ten seconds. The ecu will not establish communication with the scanner during these times. Then out of the blue whilst still cranking the check engine light comes on, fuel pump primes and the car will start for a short time before going into fault once more.
The car has 157k on it. Any one with any thoughts or been through a similar experience, I look forward to your advice.

ECU not communicate with Engine Scanner
Changing reported malfunction Sensor, not solved it. It will reappear again in the fault code.

for me its ECU Problem.

In my car case, (Temporary) I grounded Fuel pump Relay. So I can drive the car to the Workshop.
then get the ECU repaired.
