Hey all,
My sway bar bushings are shot. I plan on replacing them this Sunday. I've never had to fool with dropping a subframe before and wanted to make sure I've got a good understanding of what I need to do. This is what I've come up with so far:
1) Get front end on jack stands, remove tires, etc.
2) Disconnect sway bar links from strut
3) Disconnect balljoints from steering knuckle
4) Remove bolt from rear motor mount
5) Support subframe with jack, loosen rear subframe mounts, lower subframe an inch or so
6) Replace sway bar bushings and reinstall everything
Will I need to loosen the front subframe mounts and front motor mount as well? Will I need to disconnect my steering gear?
