Hello Sorento Forum ~

My drivers side heated seat gave me the dreaded "flashing indicator light" and it doesn't heat up any more.

From what I've read, the element has shorted. Has anyone ever changed one of these out? I can get one for around $100-120.

Thanks!

Small black box under the seat. 2-3 screws hold hold it on, and a wiring harness. Simple, but requires un bolting the seat. Check connections before ordering part.

If there is no continuity on the heating wire element, this means it was burnt somewhere along the line. The fix is to remove the upholstery exposing the heating wire element, visually locate the burnt section, confirm there is no continuity with a voltmeter in the located section , and splice a small length of wiring in the burnt section, to add continuity.
